“Our mission is to provide good value for clients and to be recognised for its safe operations and quality service.”
Incorporated in Singapore in 1981, Hong Lam Marine is one of the most established and leading bunker craft Owner-Operators in Singapore. According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, Singapore is the number one bunkering port in the world since 1988 in terms of volume of bunker fuel sold.
Hong Lam Marine has always been in the forefront of the industry with newer and better quality tankers with more advanced technology due to our resolute commitment to provide better services to our customers who are mainly the Oil Majors and prominent Independent oil traders and suppliers and government agencies.
We operate a fleet of 35 tankers with a total tonnage of about 271,000 DWT. 24 tankers operate in-port Singapore, Port Tanjung Pelepas in Malaysia and Western Australia for bunkering, bulk lubricants supply and the carriage of Jet A-1 to Changi Airport. All the others operate internationally for shipments of petroleum, chemical products and asphalt.
Together on board and ashore, our team has established a track record with a reputation for safety and integrity in the Singapore marine industry.
Meeting our customer’s needs safely is our number one priority. We have a fleet of high quality tankers which is upgraded regularly to meet the demands of our clients and the shipping industry. We have progressively expanded our fleet in recent years through the building of new modern designed tankers and acquisitions under our fleet renewal programme.
We are a strong leader in innovations being an industry pioneer that had promoted the use of Mass Flow Meters (MFM), which enhances transparency in the bunker process and increases productivity. This was further improved by the installation of the largest available MFMs on board 2 of our bunker tankers which are capable of delivery rates of up to 1,000 metric tons per hour. We are the first to introduce purpose built hybrid bunker tankers with Diesel Electric power management systems for fuel efficiency and to minimise pollution. Our latest bunker vessel the has state of the art design with high automation and UMS which facilitates less manning safely.
In April 2019, we were the Recipient of the BUNKER AWARD at the Singapore International Maritime Awards 2019 organised by MPA Singapore and MARITIME SINGAPORE.
