We are a leading provider of marine transportation services based in Singapore, through the ownership, management, and chartering of tankers, primarily on a time charter basis. Hong Lam Marine’s fleet of tankers is modern and purpose-built.

Our tankers are primarily used by our customers for bunkering within Singapore port and transporting petroleum/chemical products within Asia.

Carriage of Jet Fuel

We have 3 double-hulled Jet Fuel tankers chartered to Chevron, ExxonMobil and Shell to shuttle jet fuel from refineries to Singapore’s Changi Airport.

We are 1 of the only 2 contractors in this business.

Lube Oil Bunkering

Our lube tankers carry marine lube oil to service the engines of vessels called in the port of Singapore. Included in our fleet are four purpose-built hybrid diesel-electric lube oil tankers which are on time charter to a oil major in Singapore.

Marine Fuel Bunkering

Our bunker tankers provide bunkering services to vessels calling in Singapore and perform cross-harbour transfers of marine fuels when needed.

Our valued customers include oil majors, shipping lines and independent bunker suppliers. The petroleum products carried are marine fuel oil up to 500cst, marine diesel oil and marine gas oil.

In 2005, we were the first to operate a double-hulled bunker tanker in South East Asia exceeding 9,000 DWT. In June 2009, we took delivery of a purpose built bunker tanker of 21,999 DWT – an “exceptionally large” bunker tanker according to industry experts and one which was believed to be the world’s largest bunker tanker at the time. The sister-ship was delivered to the same charterer in August 2009. Our fleet currently includes 5 hybrid diesel-electric bunker tankers in the Singapore harbour.

Petroleum/Chemical Product Transportation

We own 14 petroleum/chemical product tankers. One of the oil tanker is an asphalt tanker. They are ocean going tankers with deadweight tonnage of between 3,500 DWT and 11,300 DWT.

Our tankers operate primarily within Asia, moving products between Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines, Taiwan, China, Japan and Korea.
