• Perform on board inspection in compliance with company’s Health, Safety and Environmental system.
  • Assist in reviewing Company’s SMSM & Contribute best efforts for continual improvement.
  • Conduct Navigation audits as scheduled by Safety, Quality, Security and Training Manager.
  • Assist DPA for preparing the company Safety bulletins / memo / circulars.
  • Assist DPA in Internal & external ISM/ISPS audits.
  • Assist DPA in casualty, incident, personnel accident investigation and reporting.
  • Assist Operations Department when necessary.
  • Draw up and implement the Fleet Safety Training plan, drills and exercises.
  • Conduct ship board training, drills and exercises as per plan the training plan.
  • Conduct crew / officers interview/ training / briefing / seminars.
  • Assist DPA and oversee the training program for cadets.
  • Act as Emergency Response Team member.
  • Understanding of relevant rules, regulations, codes and guidance that relate to job description.
  • Participate in maritime organizations, committees and working groups as and when required.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the Safety, Quality, Security and Training Manager and Management.
  • Certificate of competency (Deck) Class 1 / Class 2 or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of sea and 2 years of relevant shore working experience, sailed on board tanker as senior officer.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good Team Player.
  • Able to travel overseas to visit or sail with company vessels or other vessels as and when required.
